List of Conferences / Workshops for NLP in Finance and Economics

There is an obvious increase in relevance and interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications in the domain of Finance and Economics. To gain a competitive advantage, many financial institutions are starting to realize that there are ‘nuggets of gold’ waiting to be extracted from unstructured data. These include financial statements, SEC fillings, analyst reports, news articles, tweets / social media, audit reports, press releases, news wire, and many more.

Bloomberg is one such company that pioneers the use of NLP in turning textual data into business insights and market intelligence. Below here is a talk presented by FinIR2020 by Edgar Meij from Bloomberg, giving us a glimpse of how Bloomberg does it.
